Tryouts for women’s golf will be held at Hedingham Golf Club beginning at 3:30 sharp on Monday, August 3rd and last approximately 2 – 2 ½ hours. All participants must have a valid physical on file or bring a valid physical with you the first day of tryouts. You must also have completed all paperwork required for team participation at Enloe.
We will have tryouts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, August 3-5, with the final team being announced by the end of that week. Practices for the team will begin on Monday, August 10th, and continue on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week beginning at 3:30 during the season. Practices will generally last 2-3 hours, depending on what we’re doing that day. If we play nine holes, it could be 3 hours; if we do drills only, it will probably only be 2 hours. Our first match is slated to be on August 18th.

The Gfeller-Waller Concussion Awareness Act was drafted and implemented to protect the safety of student-athletes in North Carolina and was signed into law on June 16, 2011 by Governor Beverly Purdue. There are three major areas of focus in the law and these include: education, emergency action and postconcussion protocol implementation, and clearance/return to play or practice following concussion. A copy of the Gfeller-Waller Concussion Awareness Act is available under the links and forms and information sections of this website. There are forms that must be signed by both parent and student athlete in order to participate.
